A tale of two Kingdoms

Eswatini Opens Embassy in Rabat-Morocco

The Kingdom of Morocco and the Kingdom of Eswatini established diplomatic relations in June 1996. Since then, the two Kingdoms have maintained fraternal and historical bonds which have been reinforced by several agreements signed between them.

On October 26, 2020, their Excellencies, Hon. Senator Thulisile Dladla, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Eswatini and His Excellency Mr. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, inaugurated the Embassy of the Kingdom of Eswatini to the Kingdom of Morocco, highlighting the two Kingdom’s determination to boost cooperation on all levels.

The Embassy serves as an agent of the government of the Kingdom in the further promotion of the diplomatic relations, trade, as well as social and cultural relations subsisting between the two countries. as well as forge relations with other countries of accreditation and the international community.

Countries of accreditation

Apart from the Kingdom of Morocco, the Embassy is also accredited to the following countries:
Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Chad, Egypt, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Togo, Tunisia, and Ghana.

Mission

To advance the interests of the Kingdom of Eswatini and strengthen cordial relations with the Kingdom of Morocco, countries of accreditation and the world at large.

Vision

To be a vibrant Mission that is integrated in the multilateral community and contribute to the three dimensions (social, economic and environmental) of sustainable development to promote growth and economic development of the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Mandate

To project a positive image and understanding of Eswatini; to facilitate investment, trade tourism and culture; as well as provide consular services.
