Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) and Parliamentary Service Board Benchmarking exercise

A delegation for the Kingdom of Eswatini visited the Kingdom of Morocco from 1^st to 4^th March 2023. It was led by the Senate President Honorable Pastor Mrs. Lindiwe Dlamini accompanied by several Senators, the Clerk to Parliament, and members of the Parliamentary Services Board.

The visit’s main purpose was to engage in a benchmarking exercise with the House of Councilors of the Kingdom of Morocco on the sidelines of the 17^th Plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM). The Senate President was bestowed the honor to address the Plenary during the opening session of the PAM.

The Senate President highlighted the objective of the PAM session, which included forging political, economic, and social cooperation; therefore, underscored the importance of the discussions that ensued in finding common solutions to the challenges facing the region and bringing about peace and prosperity.

During her working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, the Honorable Senate President paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Mr. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates to discuss further parliamentary cooperation between the two Kingdoms.
