On December 9, the Embassy participated in a policy seminar entitled “Africa’s response to climate change” held by the Korean Embassy as part of a series of seminars that the Korean Embassy is organizing this year in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Morocco. Ms. Maja Groff, Coordinator of the Commission on Climate Governance, Mr. Yongwoo Jeong, Director of the KOICA Office in Morocco, Ms. Fatima Driouech, Vice-Chair of Working Group 1 and member of the IPCC Bureau, and Ms. Mercy Onyango, Researcher at UNECA presented their views on climate governance, Korea’s green ODA and the impact of climate change on Africa and food security. The sessions were moderated by Dr. Mohamed Behnassi, senior environmental expert of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESEMorocco).
