Eswatini and Morocco have long-standing diplomatic and fraternal relations that date back to the 90’s. The brotherly Kingdoms are both dedicated to the enhancement of their cooperation in several areas, including but not limited to agriculture, culture, education and training, and ICT. To that end, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Honorable Mabulala Maseko had the pleasure of receiving H.E. Mohamed Methqal, Ambassador Director General of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) in Mbabane, Eswatini.
Following this meeting, Ambassador Methqal also paid a courtesy call on the Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sizwe N. Ntshangase.

On 5th July 2023, the Embassy participated in the First Eswatini-Morocco Experts Meeting convened by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Eswatini. This meeting was geared towards enhancing cooperation between the brotherly Kingdoms in key economic sectors including Health, Agriculture, Trade, Youth development, and Tourism. Senior Government Officials from the relevant Ministries participated in this crucial meeting. The Moroccan delegation was led by Mr. Brahim Bah, Head of the Central and Southern Africa Division within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco. The Eswatini delegation was led by Bawelile Simelane, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Africa Day, formerly African Freedom Day and African Liberation Day, is the annual commemoration of the foundation of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) on May 25, 1963. It is intended to celebrate and acknowledge the successes of the OAU, now the African Union (AU) from its creation in the fight against colonialism as well as the progress that Africa has made while reflecting upon the common challenges that the continent faces.
The Embassy of participated in the event and showcased the traditional cuisine that was dished to people from other African countries. Also, several trade and investment booklet and pamphlets as well as traditional and cultural artifacts were displayed.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of Eswatini to the Kingdom of Morocco had the honor of attending the 15th Edition of the Moroccan International Agricultural Trade Fair which took place in Meknes from the 2nd to 7th of May 2023. The agricultural sector is an essential core of the economy of Morocco, it is a major player in rural development, responsible for the social stability of the country, and is the proof of safety for future generations. To that end, the SIAM, through its role as a platform for exchanges, connections, and exposure, is contributing to the development of the agricultural sector. International exhibitors optimize their presence at the Show, help multiply business opportunities, and strengthen their impact on the global market.
Mr. Jabulani Mabuza, the Honorable Minister of Agriculture, led the delegation from the Kingdom of Eswatini. He also attended a high-level conference that took place on the sidelines of the SIAM, explored exhibitions, visited several agricultural sites, and met officials from the OCP, a company producing phosphate-based fertilizers.

A delegation for the Kingdom of Eswatini visited the Kingdom of Morocco from 1st to 4th March 2023. It was led by the Senate President Honorable Pastor Mrs. Lindiwe Dlamini accompanied by several Senators, the Clerk to Parliament, and members of the Parliamentary Services Board.
The visit’s main purpose was to engage in a benchmarking exercise with the House of Councilors of the Kingdom of Morocco on the sidelines of the 17th Plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM). The Senate President was bestowed the honor to address the Plenary during the opening session of the PAM.
The Senate President highlighted the objective of the PAM session, which included forging political, economic, and social cooperation; therefore, underscored the importance of the discussions that ensued in finding common solutions to the challenges facing the region and bringing about peace and prosperity.
During her working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, the Honorable Senate President paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Mr. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates to discuss further parliamentary cooperation between the two Kingdoms.
